VACAVILLE ROTARY CLUB

The Four-Way Test
The Vacaville Rotary Club promotes the high ethical standards adopted by
Rotary International.
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The Vacaville Rotary Club meets every Thursday at the Vacaville Opera House which
is located in Downtown Vacaville at the corner of Davis & Main. The meeting
begins at 12:15 p.m. Chartered in 1944, the Rotary Club of Vacaville has nearly
100 members.
Rotary was the world's first service club. It was formed by lawyer Paul P. Harris
in Chicago, Illinois on February 23, 1905 in an attempt to recapture the
friendly spirit he had felt among businesspeople in the small town where he grew
up.
The present day mission of Rotary is still service - in the community, in the
workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians build goodwill and peace, provide
humanitarian service, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations. The
Rotary motto is “Service Above Self”.
Rotary members are professional men and women who work as volunteers to improve
the quality of life. Members represent a cross-section of local business and
professional leaders. Rotary clubs are non-political, non-religious, and open to
all cultures, races, and creeds.
Over the past 62 years, the Rotary Club of Vacaville has distinguished itself in
our community by sponsoring and supporting a wide range of local and
international projects.
